Wellington, New Zealand -"Ngati Poneke" Our journey begins there...The capital city of New Zealand is home to those political wonder dogs and first elected female Prime Minister Helen Clark.  Summertime here in Wellington is perhaps the most exciting time of the year.   After a grey, depressing winter season, Wellington wakes up to the live music and array of fun, fun, fun activities for the kids and bigger kids to take part in.   It is also the birth place of Saoirse comprised of yours truly and Claire Humphries, with songs like Kiras Song, Enough is Enough, Easier to leave, Tell Me a Story and Sitting on top of the Wold and Home, perhaps one day people around the world will hear such songs and wonder where they came from and how they started.....

The great joys of living in a small capital is that you can enjoy more festivals and cultural events, free events, concerts and alternative festivals than any city around New Zealand. Wellington prides itself not only for its die hard die trying attitude, Wellington Lions and the Hurricanes, but the exotic places and wild life that seem to spread across this city like wildfire. This is Wellington; fun, laughter, excitement, beauty and most of all an awesome place to take a break from it all.

LIVE: Wellingtons Music & Entertainment

The city is alive with the sound of Live bands from Irish Folk to Rap, Thrash, Rock and reggae......Given the chance one could experience the night life and vibrant music of the times or even venture into the heart of Aro Valley and chill to the jazzy funk styles of self made sound creators, musicians, artists, dancers and much much more.......if the world is your oyster then spending one day in Wellington would make it a pearl of a visit....Wellington, The Capital City of New Zealand, Aotearoa.

Wellington also plays host to a monthly get together of this city's finest drummers, dancers and firedancers. The Fullmoon Drum Circle is one of those celebrational get togethers where it really doesn't matter if you can drum or not as long as you have fun.....There are many spare drums to pick up and play till ya heart's content or chanting and dancing around the fire, watching the fire dancing. Makes ya wanna get out there and start drumming up a storm....try it out its gotta be good for ya....
